Encroachment in Hamidia Hospital, green color and flag on the wall, doctors expressed protest

The case of religious encroachment in Hamidia Hospital in the capital Bhopal is being hot. On the boundary wall of the hospital, a religious flag was put up by some people by painting green, after which junior doctors started protesting. The matter has now reached the Chief Minister of the state, Dr. Mohan Yadav, catching up. The doctors have written a letter to the Chief Minister to draw attention to the continuous encroachment and security flaws in the hospital premises.

Demand raised to increase security

The Junior Doctor Association has opened a front regarding the frequent religious encroachments in the Hamidia Hospital campus. Association President Dr. Kuldeep Gupta said that due to the frequent movement of outsiders, there is a serious threat to the security of the hospital premises. Many cases of misconduct with doctors and employees have been reported. Junior doctors say that the hospital environment should be safe so that doctors can serve patients without any fear.

Hamidia Hospital: Religious encroachment is becoming a serious problem

The complaint sent to the Chief Minister by doctors clearly states that the problem of religious encroachment is increasing in Gandhi Medical College and Hamidia Hospital, which is the major medical and educational institutions of Madhya Pradesh. Outsiders are entering the campus on the pretext of religious activities and some inside are also cooperating in it. This is not only affecting the dignity of the hospital, but the security of women doctors and other staff is also in danger. In such an environment, neither studies nor medical services are being done properly.

Impact on security system

The complaint also states that Hamidia Hospital, which is designed only for medical education and care of patients, is serious about such unconstitutional encroachments. This is not only affecting the hospital environment, but doctors, patients and students are facing mental stress.

Hamidia Hospital: Head of Junior Doctors demands

Junior doctors have made three important demands from the state government:

  • A high -level inquiry into illegal religious encroachments in the hospital premises should be conducted.
  • Unauthorized entry of outsiders should be banned and security system should be strengthened.
  • Administrative action should be taken to maintain safe environment in the hospital premises.

There have been cases of encroachment before

This is not the first time that a case of encroachment has come to light in the Hamidia Hospital campus. Last year too there was a dispute over increasing the tomb near the library. At that time the administration had talked about action but concrete steps have not been taken yet. These repeated disputes have made the hospital environment unsafe and stressful.

Hamidia Hospital: Expect strict action from government

Now that the matter has reached the Chief Minister of the state, the staff of the hospital, including junior doctors, hope that the government will take strict steps this time. Doctors say that medical institutions should be kept away from politics and religious activities so that both patients and students can get safe and peaceful environment.
