So far, eight to nine people are reported missing. Uttarkashi DM Prashant Arya says that the team has started investigating the missing people. At the same time, ten other workers have been rescued and brought to Paligad. The police administration has sent their homes to safe laborers.

Five are from Nepali origin, three of Dehradun and one from Uttar Pradesh. They are being searched. SI Vikram Singh said that the bodies of two laborers missing during the investigation have been found from the Yamuna river banks near the Tiladi martyr memorial. Police have sent both the bodies to Naugaon CHC. Seven laborers continue to be investigated. Fellow laborers have been called for identification.
CM Dhami in constant contact with officials
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami took cognizance of the authorities about the cloudburst. He tweeted and wrote that some workers have been reported missing in the tragic incident. Other teams including SDRF, NDRF have reached the spot and are engaged in intensive relief and rescue operations. I am in constant touch with the officials concerned about this matter.
Disaster Management Secretary Vinod Kumar Suman said that police and army personnel have started rescue operations and teams of SDRF and NDRF have been deployed. 15 people are engaged in rescue work and about 45 people are on the way. Machines are not reaching here and teams are engaged in rescue. Workers are either trapped in debris or flowing into the rock or in the river. Efforts are on to find them.

Red alert of heavy rain in seven districts including Doon
