In the early hours of Sunday, Russia attacked Ukraine with a fierce missile and drone amidst the Russia-Ukraine War. In this attack, a F-16 fighter aircraft of Ukraine was destroyed and the pilot lost his life. This information has been given by the Ukrainian Army. The incident took place at a time when Russia attacked overnight with about 500 types of air weapons in western, southern and central Ukraine. They included drones, cruise and ballistic missiles.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported that the pilot killed seven aerial goals, but its aircraft was severely damaged while dropping the last and started falling down. The Air Force said, “Pilot drew seven air goals using all onboard weapons. The aircraft was damaged while attacking the last target and losing rapid height.” The pilot tried to take the aircraft away from the populated area but could not eject in time and died.
