Trilingual policy of Maharashtra government on the backfoot, canceled both decisions


Devendra Fadnavis’s government has come on the backfoot to implement the Trishag policy in Maharashtra. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has canceled both the orders issued to the people on 16 April and 17. The government has said that a committee will be formed to reconsider the issue. Both these orders were related to making Hindi mandatory in the school. At the same time, this decision of the government was being opposed. Along with Uddhav Thackeray, Raj Thackeray and Sharad Pawar also opened a front against this policy.

The government of Maharashtra has created the chairman of the committee, educationist and former Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Narendra Jadhav. Please tell that Uddhav Thackeray announced a big movement on 5 July. Sharad Pawar and Raj Thackeray could also participate in this movement. Thackeray had said, “We are not against Hindi but are against the imposing power.”

What Were Government Of Both Order

Chief Minister Fadnavis said that as Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray also accepted the recommendations of Dr. Raghunath Mashelkar Committee. In the recommendation of this committee, it was said to implement three language policy from class 1 to 12th. He said that the government has decided to withdraw the orders issued in April and June. The order issued on 16 April said that Hindi will be made mandatory as a third language in English and Marathi medium schools as well. After the protest, the government issued a second order on June 17, in which it was said to make Hindi an alternative subject.

Shiv Sena ,UBT,MNS Of Display Cancelled

The Shiv Sena UBT has also decided to cancel the performance of July 5, as soon as the Devendra Fadnavis government withdrew both its orders. Sanjay Raut said, “The proposed Shiv Sena (Ubatha)-Manse’s joint protests have been canceled on July 5 after the government’s order has withdrawn government orders’ by the Maharashtra government.”
