Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ambitious Ayushman Bharat scheme. The objective of this scheme is to provide free health services to the economically weaker sections, which is now seen to be in the grip of fraud and scams. In the past, complaints of irregularities in hospitals associated with this scheme have been revealed. In view of these complaints, a special team of Bhopal Health Department suddenly conducted a sudden investigation campaign in major hospitals in Indore.
The beneficiary who is taking the benefit of this scheme, will be investigated
Under this scheme, people who are taking advantage of this scheme are currently not in the hospital. Along with this, it was also checked whether his condition was so serious that he was necessary to recruit and is he getting proper treatment. The team also saw that government money is not being misused under the guise of patients in some way.
Health department raided many big hospitals in Indore
Many well-known hospitals of Indore were involved in this investigation campaign, such as Bhandari Hospital, Index Medical College, CHL Care, T. Choitharam Hospital, O-2, Kibs, Gokuldas, Raj Shri, Apli Vedanta, Medicare Square, Saluja Ai Care, Geeta Bhavan Hospital, Verma Union, Eminet, Shankar I Hospital, SNG and V. Others including hospital. Almost every major private hospital was brought under the purview of this investigation.
Special investigation team from Bhopal investigated
This special investigation team from Bhopal included around 12 officers, for the help of 14 more officers from Indore were also deployed. Overall, about a dozen teams were formed and two experts were appointed in each team. The team also included doctors, public health experts, health insurance experts, IT advisors and business analysts to make the investigation fair and technically accurate from every perspective.
This action took place in the presence of senior officials
The investigation was monitored by Dr. Yogesh Bharasat, Chief Executive Officer of Ayushman Yojana himself. He was accompanied by senior medical officers from Bhopal like Dr. Indrajit Sikarwar, Dr. Arvind Garhwal, Dr. Naveen Dewan, Dr. Ravind Pal, Dr. Rishitaz Singh, Dr. Sudeep Sarkar and other specialist doctors were part of the doctor’s investigation team. At the same time, many local doctors and officials from Indore also participated in this campaign.
CMHO confirmed the raid
Confirming this guerrilla action, CMHO of Indore, Dr. Madhav Hasani said that the investigation team had come from Bhopal and he has collected necessary information and records from hospitals. However, the team has not shared the findings of the investigation with the local administration and the entire action is being conducted directly at the Bhopal level.
