Alam is that by 15 days ago, tomatoes sold by 10 rupees a kg have now crossed 40 rupees per kg. Prices of other vegetables are also intensifying. At the same time, this time the prices of vegetables were stable in the entire season of summer for two months. Wholesale vegetable traders say that with the increase in rains, the arrival of vegetables will decrease further in the coming days.

Tomato started selling 800 rupees carat, fare giving 200 rupees per carat

Vegetable businessman Gopal Singh Kushwaha of Laxmiganj wholesale market said that till some time ahead a carat (20 kg) of tomato was being sold for Rs 350, which has now increased by Rs 800 per carat. These days tomato is coming from Bengaluru. Earlier, the arrival of local was getting rich. 200 rupees per carat will have to be paid to order tomatoes from Bengaluru. Similarly, the prices of green vegetables have also started increasing. Green coriander in bulk was sold at Rs 80 kg, gourd-dumplings, brinjal Rs 10, ginger 50 rupees, cauliflower 30 rupees.
