A tragic accident occurred in the Army Firing Range in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. Here, during the training with a drone, an iron dummy bomb fell on the head of a jawan. The jawan died in this accident. The deceased was identified as Havildar Vijay Singh. At the time of the accident, training was being given to drop the bomb from the drone.
Actually, the incident took place on Monday evening in the Army Firing Range of the dry Sevenia region. After this, the jawan was taken to the army hospital in critical condition. He died during treatment here. It is being told that 37 -year -old Vijay Singh, who hails from Uttarakhand, was posted as a sergeant in the army office in Bairagarh, Bhopal.
Bomb fell on the head during training
Havildar Vijay Singh reached the firing range on Monday for a regular training. Here, army personnel were being taught techniques to drop and prevent bombs from drones. Due to this, an iron dummy bomb was placed in a drone flying in the firing range. It was to be dropped at a designated place. But by mistake, the bomb fell on the jawan Vijay Singh.
Bomb weighing 4 kg from 400 feet
At the time when the bomb weighing 4 kg fell, the drone was flying at about 400 feet height. At the same time, a fire fell on the head of the bomb jawan. He died on the spot. After receiving the information, dry Sevenia police station reached the spot. The police took action by taking action of Panchnama and on Tuesday the post -mortem of the body was conducted at the Army Hospital.
The police is now investigating whether the accident occurred due to technical omission or ignoring security standards. At the same time, this accident has opened the negligence of training given to the soldiers.
