Chhattisgarh Governor Ramen Deka reached Bemetara district on a two -day visit, where he gave a message to speed up regional development by participating in various administrative and social activities. He started the tour under the ‘Ek Trees Mother’s Name’ campaign in the Circuit House campus and planting a maulka plant by giving the message of environmental protection.

Meeting with administrative officials, discussion on progress of schemes

Governor Ramen Deka held a meeting with the district administration officials in the conference hall of Circuit House and reviewed the ongoing development works in the district. In particular, he received detailed information about the schemes operated in the village Temri of Nawagarh development block, which he has adopted. During this, he assessed the status of basic facilities like education, health, drinking water, agriculture, horticulture and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.

Ramen Deka: Organic farming encouraged, possibility of okra production

During the meeting, Governor Ramen Deka emphasized the need to promote organic farming. He said that there are better possibilities of organic okra cultivation in Temri village and villagers should produce it in their fence (domestic plantation). Horticulture officials informed that the atmosphere of the village is favorable for okra production.

Benefits of schemes reached every citizen: Governor

Governor Ramen Deka directed the officials to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach every person in the village. He asked the CEO of the district panchayat to regularly monitor village development and work in mission mode and develop village Temari as an ideal village.

Ramen Deka: TB patients and meritorious students financial support

During the meeting, when the Governor was informed that there were three tuberculosis (TB) patients in the village, he announced personal financial assistance for six months of medicine. In addition, he also announced an incentive amount of ₹ 5,500 to eight meritorious students, so that children can get encouragement towards education.

Weavers committee and players meet

Governor Ramen Deka also met the members of Shri Ram weaver cooperative society Dewarbija and after hearing their problems, the collector instructed the collector to resolve other works including building repair. Along with this, he honored the medal winning players in the National School Sports Competition 2025 and wished him a bright future.

At the conclusion of the tour, the district administration expressed his gratitude by presenting a memento to Governor Ramen Deka. The tour not only became the medium of administrative review, but also received a clear indication of prioritizing important issues like rural development, education, health and environment by the Governor.
