The summer camp of Sports and Youth Welfare Department (Training) Camp-2025 “Special Summer Camp” ended on Wednesday at Tatya Tope Stadium. On this occasion, the camp was awarded by giving awards to students who have excelled in different sports (22 Sports) including judo-karate, football, Baliwall (Given).

Sports Director Rakesh Gupta said that the camp has proved to be a strong platform for the talented players of the state, where they were not only given sports training but also the overall, physical and spiritual development. Players, sports officers and guardians were present in the program.

New approach to sports training

Sports Director Gupta said that the traditional summer sports camp was given an innovative look this year. For the first time “Summer Sports Training Camp-2025” was organized in the new format, which was not limited to sports training, but also gave special emphasis on students’ personality building, leadership development and mental empowerment.

Sports Director Gupta said that in this camp, students were provided with the students in football, basketball, vaileball, gymnastics, judo, taquondo, boxing, kabaddi, fencing, karate, mallakhamb, table tennis, skating, wrestling, lawn tennis, badminton, aerobic, squash, aerobic, aerobic, and shooting (pistol). Along with this, activities such as yoga, meditation, leadership workshops, dialogues and moral education were also organized for the players, which will prove to be effective towards making them a strong, balanced and aware citizen.

The closing ceremony of “Summer Sports Training Camp-2025” honored boys and girls who excelled in various sports competitions. Kushal Bhatt and Jessica Jatav in Basketball, Vedanta Lakhera and Adhara Sheikh in Karate, Nitin Gaur and Tanu Parihar in Football, Shloka and Deeksha Sen in Boxing, Kanish Joshi and Palak Rajput in Kabaddi, Rakesh Shakya and Akshara Vare in Tikwandas, Aditya Yadav and Harshita Kushwaha in Skating, Skating in fanning Suryansh Thakur and Bhavyashree in Table Tennis, Baba Vishwakarma and Nandani Farkia in Judo, Vedanya Sen and Annaya Sharma in Bedminton, Amrit Bhurtel and Nikita Yadav in lawn tennis, Mayank Sen and Diva Arun Bhardwaj in Mallakhamb, Satyam Gaur and Nandini Chauhan in Athletics, Akshaut Patel and Akshati Patel and Akshadi Raghta Raghti Raj Prajapati and Rishika Yadav in wrestling, seductive Parmar and Advika Chauhan in gymnastics and Vishal Yadav and Jaya Goswami in weightlifting were awarded.

Over 1 lakh online registration

More than 1 lakh students from all over the state registered online on the MyMP portal (www.merayuva.mp.gov.in) for participation in the camp. Digital profiles of registered students have been prepared, which will be used in future sports talent search, academy selection and priority in other schemes.
