Famous social media influencer Kirti Patel of Gujarat has finally been arrested by the Surat police. He has more than 1.3 million followers on Instagram. Kirti is accused of raising crores of rupees by implicating a builder in a honeytrap. The arrest was made from Serkhej area of Ahmedabad, where Kirti had been hiding for a long time.
Was dodging the police for one year
The case is in June 2023 when a builder from Surat lodged an FIR against Kirti Patel and four of his companions. The builder alleged that Kirti blackmailed him and demanded a hefty amount. The other four accused in the case were already caught, but Kirti was constantly absconding. She continued to change the city, misleading the police by changing the SIM card, mobile number and IP address. But finally with the help of Surat’s cyber team and Ahmedabad police, his location was tracked and arrested.

Police investigation has revealed that Kirti Patel used to cheat people using her glamorous image on social media. She was famous on Instagram and due to this popularity, she got a chance to reach many people. It is alleged that he trapped the builder of Surat in the honeytrap and misused his personal information and demanded crores of rupees. According to the police, Kirti has previously been involved in cases of land possession, threats and extortion.

While giving a statement on the matter, DCP Alok Kumar said that if any person is suffering from Kirti Patel or any other person like this, he can contact the police without any fear. He also informed that the work of investigating the matter and linking links from other cases is going on. The police is now investigating Kirti’s role.
