There was a stir at Begumpet Airport in Hyderabad on Wednesday morning when the airport administration was threatened by an email. As soon as the information was received, police and security agencies started high alert operation at the airport. According to the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) of Begumpet Division, the information of the danger was received in the morning. After this, the bomb disposal squad was deployed and a thorough investigation was done in the airport and its surrounding premises.
Earlier, an emergency landing was made in Nagapur on Tuesday after a bomb threat in Indigo aircraft coming to Delhi to reach the capital of Oman from Kochi. The aircraft had reached Kochi International Airport from Muscat and left for Delhi as a domestic flight from there at 9.31 am.
IndiGo flight was threatened with a bomb threat on the official email ID of Kochi International Airport. The Airport Police Control Bureau (BAPC) was then called and the threat was declared specialized. The information was immediately given to the officials concerned, after which emergency landing was made at Nagpur Airport. Officials said that after completing the security check, the aircraft will leave for Delhi with 157 passengers and six crew members.
