On Monday afternoon, there was a stir at Swami Vivekananda Airport in Raipur when the Indigo Airlines flight from Delhi suddenly stopped. Passengers in the aircraft were stranded for about forty minutes. Former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, MLA Chaturi Nand and Raipur Mayor Meenal Choubey were also on this flight.

Flight landed but gate not opened

According to the information, the flight landed safely at Raupur Airport at 2:25 pm. But the main door of the aircraft did not open out at the same time, causing restlessness among the passengers. When the passengers saw a delay in exit, some contacted the crew. An atmosphere of nervousness started to create when there was no movement.

Raipur Airport- The reason for the technical problem causes the problem

The statement issued by IndiGo Airlines said that the incident occurred due to technical glitch. The flight gate was locked due to a malfunction in the screen command system present in the aircraft. The airline immediately called its engineering team, who succeeded in opening the gate after about 40 minutes of effort.

Raipur Airport- Mayor Meenal Choubey gave information about the situation

Raipur Mayor Meenal Choubey told about the incident that “Landing was completely safe. No instructions were coming in the inside screen, so the gate did not open. However, there was no major technical crisis, and all the passengers came out safely.” His statement was a relief to the passengers (Raipur Airport), which made it clear that there was no major reason for panic.

Light panic among passengers, but the situation is under control

During the incident, several passengers present in the aircraft sought information from the airline (Raipur Airport) staff, but there was no immediate solution, there was a situation like chaos for some time. However, no passenger suffered any physical damage and everyone was safely evacuated. The flight staff played an important role in handling the situation.
