The Supreme Court (SC) has given a big verdict regarding the appointment appointment. On Tuesday, the apex court refused to give a job after a father to a young man with more than one house and several acres of land.
The petitioner son (Son) was seeking compassionate appointment after the death of his father. The court said that compassionate appointment is not the right (NOT), but the base of the family. The apex court has been saying that compassionate appointment should not be seen as a right. Also, it is mandatory to meet the required criteria of candidates for such appointment.
According to the report, the court was the Principal Commissioner in Central Excise, father of petitioner Ravi Kumar Jeff. He died in August 2015. Now Ravi has demanded a compassionate appointment in the office of the Chief Commissioner in CGST and Central Excise (Jaipur Zone) Rajasthan. Justice Ujjal Bhuiyan and Justice Manmohan have dismissed the petition.
The father of the petitioner has left two houses, 33 acres of land and 85 thousand rupees to the family. The petition of a compassionate appointment of Ravi was rejected by Rajasthan High Court and Central Administrative Tribunal. He retained the department’s claim that the family had enough resources to live with facilities. It is reported that the departmental committee had considered the names of 19 applicants for compassionate appointment, out of which only 3 were considered eligible.
The department says that compassionate appointment should not be seen as a right. Such employment claims are considered only where the family is facing difficulties. The committee said, “The family of the late government employee is his wife and his son and daughter. Both son and daughter are unemployed and are not married.
The family has a house in the village, 33 acres of agricultural land, Jaipur has a higher houseā¦. The family is getting a monthly pension of 85 thousand rupees. The monthly income of the family seems to be sufficient for social obligations with their livelihood.
