Jindal Steel & Power, a company led by Mr. Naveen Jindal, a well-known industrialist and MP from Kurukshetra, has been awarded the Greentech Award-2025 for outstanding work in the fields of “Agricultural Incentive” and “Senior Citizen Welfare”. After evaluating the social work done at the national level, both these honors were awarded for the commendable contribution in both the above areas at an honor ceremony held in New Delhi on 14 June, which reflects the JSP’s comprehensive attitude to bring widespread and positive changes in the society through the Jindal Foundation, led by Mrs. Shalu Jindal.
On this occasion, Smt. Shalu Jindal, chairperson of Jindal Foundation, said, “We are proud to receive both these Greentech Awards. This honor further strengthens our commitment to bring us the flame of development to the last person of the line. Whether it is to provide modern agricultural techniques or to make the environment of pride and honor to the elderly, all the efforts are motivated by all the efforts and our teams. I dedicate to the combative communities, with whom we are working continuously. ” He also thanked the jury for the honor received in both areas.
The award received for “Agricultural Incentive” is the identity that the Jindal Foundation has done a good job to carry forward farmers in villages and tribal areas. The Foundation has so far trained more than 25,000 farmers to organize organic farming, water -saving irrigation, use of new farming equipment and maintain good soil health. This increased the production of crops of farmers, increased income and also encouraged environmental protection.
Recently, the Mobile Soil Testing Lab for farmers in Angul district was started by Mrs. Shalu Jindal, the next stage of the mission of natural farming based on the outlook of Shri Naveen Jindal.
Jindal Foundation’s Watershed Development Project and Bari program have been appreciated on many national forums.
The award received for “Senior Citizen Welfare” is evidence that Jindal Steel and Power consider the honor and care of the elderly as their responsibility. Programs like Jindal Foundation’s mobile health clinic, day-care center, health services being provided door-to-door and consultation for mental health have proved to be beneficial for thousands of elders living in villages, especially in villages. These initiatives have improved the health, mental balance and social engagement of the elderly.
The Foundation is partnered with various non-governmental organizations for the nutrition and care of the needy elders and soon is going to establish a modern facility-rich old age home called “Jindal Apna Ghar”, where senior citizens will be able to live a dignified and healthy life.
Through these two Greentech Awards, the JSP and Jindal Foundation have once again proved that their thinking carrying innovation and inclusion is a motivational power of social change in India.
