“We are working devoted to the empowerment and upliftment of labor families. Your affection and cooperation is our greatest strength and we will all come together to realize the resolve of a developed, prosperous and strong Chhattisgarh.” Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai was addressing the program by distributing an incentive amount of two lakh rupees to 31 meritorious children of registered workers, who were placed in the top 10 of class X and XII under Chief Minister Noni Babu meritorious education assistance scheme held at New Circuit House in the capital Raipur today. During this time, the Chief Minister transferred assistance of more than Rs 19.71 crore to 38 thousand 200 construction workers of the state registered in Chhattisgarh Bhavan and other construction workers welfare board directly to their bank accounts.

The Chief Minister, while wishing the meritorious children of Shramvir, who has achieved outstanding results in the 10th and 12th examinations, said that our government understands the needs of labor families well and is working devoted to their overall welfare. He said that today, if the child of the labor family wants to study abroad, then the provision of assistance of up to Rs 50 lakh has been made by the Labor Department. Mr. Sai said that we are making such policies, which will give maximum employment to the youth of the state. Referring to the attractive industry policy of the state, he said that so far investment proposals of more than Rs 5 lakh crore have been received by the state government, which will create large scale employment opportunities.

Mr. Sai shared his experiences as Union Minister of State in the Ministry of Labor, saying that I have a special attachment to workers and work in the interest of workers always gives satisfaction.

The Chief Minister said that in the first term of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, I got the responsibility of the Ministry of Labor for two years and under his leadership, we took many historic steps towards the pension improvement of the workers as the Minister of State for Labor and ensured the amount of minimum pension. He said that our Prime Minister is sensitive to the workers and on their instructions, we had taken a big decision to use the unconstated amount of about 27 thousand crore rupees in the provident fund (PF) of the workers in their interest for years. The Universal PF number was started by our government as Minister of State, which solved the problem of claiming the PF amount repeatedly by the workers.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister urged everyone that the information about the schemes being run by the Labor Department should be given to other needy, so that more and more workers can take advantage of them. He shared information about other welfare schemes operated in the state along with providing hot and nutritious food for the workers.

Industry Minister Lakhan Lal Dewangan said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, the state is moving towards all -round development. He informed that all the promises have been fulfilled under “Modi’s guarantee” in these one and a half years. He said that today under various schemes, Rs 19.71 crore is being provided to 38 thousand 2 hundred workers and Rs 62 lakh to 31 students selected in the Pravinya list. Shri Dewangan informed that under the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Shram Ann Yojana, workers are being provided full food for 5 rupees in 46 centers of 17 districts and in future it will be implemented in all industry -oriented districts. Along with this, information was given to start free coaching facility for the children of workers.

The Labor Minister said that under the new industry policy, rules have been simplified for the establishment of industries, which has increased investment and employment opportunities are being created for the youth.

Dr. Ram Pratap Singh, President of Chhattisgarh Bhavan and other construction workers Kalyan Mandal, said that with the resolve of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the state is moving towards the new heights of development. Through the board, 31 public welfare schemes are being run in the state, including schemes like Noni Empowerment, Mahtari Jatan, Labor Sian Assistance. He informed that the board is providing health, education and financial assistance to 29.47 lakh registered workers and their families of the state. Workers can get their registration done in Shramev Jayate App, Public Service Center or Labor Office.

Noni Babu Meritorious Education Assistance Scheme changed the lives of children of laborers family

During the program, the children benefited from Chief Minister Noni Babu Meritorious Education Assistance Scheme in front of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai expressed their gratitude. All the children said that they are from laborers and poor families, but this scheme gave them an opportunity to study. The scheme is giving a new flight to the dreams of labor families.

Heera Singh of Bhaiyathan in Surajpur district said that after completing B. Tech from IIIT, he has now become junior data science developer. This scheme provided assistance of Rs 4.10 lakh, which could complete his studies.

Similarly, B.Tech final year student Amalendra Pankera told that his family lives by working as a laborer and with the help of this scheme, they are getting the fees of the college.

Another student, Deepak Pankera, shared his struggle from a small village in Surajpur to IIIT, Raipur. Deepak said that through the scheme, he is paying his BTech education fees and he has received assistance of about 4 lakh rupees from the scheme.

Chief Minister Shri Sai greeted the children of all Shramvir for a bright future.

Rs 3.83 crore to 1,915 workers under Minimata Mahtari Jatan Yojana, Rs 10.33 lakh to 279 workers under Mukhyamantri Sikal Assistance Scheme, Rs 2.19 crore to 6,319 workers under Mukhyamantri Labor Assistance Scheme, Rs 94 thousand 800 to 12 workers under Mukhyamantri Sorting Machine Assistance Scheme, Rs 94 thousand 800 to 12 workers, Rs 4,825 workers under Mukhyamanti Scholarship Scheme 96.17 lakhs under Chief Minister Sewing Machine Assistance Scheme, 96.17 lakhs under Mukhyamanti Scholarship Scheme. 37.63 lakh rupees to 155 labor families under Chief Minister Noni Babu Meritorious Education Assistance Scheme, Rs 40 thousand to 2 workers under Chief Minister Nirman Longevity Assistance Scheme, Rs 74.08 lakh to 4,939 workers under Chief Minister Construction Workers Safety Equipment Scheme, Best Sports Promotion Scheme for children of construction workers, Rs. Death and Divyang Assistance Scheme 264 workers Rs 2.64 crore, Rs 4.97 crore to 2,486 workers under Chief Minister Noni Empowerment Assistance Scheme, Rs 74.40 lakh to 372 workers under Mukhyamantri Labor Sian Assistance Scheme, free uniforms for construction workers and assistance for book copy, 15,06666 to 15,066666 to 15,0666666 workers under the Chief Minister’s Assistance Scheme. 25 lakh rupees were provided. This initiative will play an important role in providing financial assistance to the construction workers and their families of the state and improving their standard of living.

On this occasion, Joint Secretary of Labor Department, Dr. Fariha Alam, Labor Commissioner in -charge Shri SL Jangde and officials of the labor department were present.
