Raipur: Government Medical College should become first choice of public: Health Minister Jaiswal

Chhattisgarh Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal reviewed the important meeting in both medical and community development with the objective of realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “developed India 2047”. Minister Jaiswal took a meeting of the autonomous committee held at Indira Gandhi Government Medical College in Nandanamara in the district and discussed the quality of the college, infrastructure and quality of medical services in detail. The minister clearly directed that government medical colleges should be developed in such a way that they should become the first choice of the public. He said that sensitivity and excellence should be the first priority in external patient department and interrogation services.

“The public should not only get treatment, but also respect and condolences, this should be the identity of our medical system.

Taking a meeting of medical officers, Health Minister Jaiswal said that the purpose of the department is not only to provide excellent medical services, but also sensitivity to the public and honors. The Health Minister also emphasized on promoting educational and cultural activities for all -round development of students.

In the meeting, Secretary of Health Department Amit Kataria gave necessary instructions to decide transparency, digital attendance system, regular appointment of staff and responsibility in the college.

On this occasion, Chhattisgarh Government Medical Education Department Commissioner Mrs. Shikha Rajput Tiwari, MP Bhojraj Nag, Kanker MLA Asharam Netam, Fishermen Welfare Board President Bharat Matiyara, Handicraft Board President Mrs. Shalini Rajput and Principal Dr. Khan and other public representatives, medical college staff were present.
