Bhopal
The engineering design of the railway overbridge (ROB) being constructed in Aishbagh area of Bhopal is now under question. Indeed, this overbridge has a blind turn of 90 degrees, which can prove to be a large accident zone or black spot in the future. Traffic experts and common citizens are expressing concern about this construction, while the Public Works Department (PWD) is blaming the Railways.
Changes in design by putting flat slab
This spicy turn made from the overbridge from which to land towards Bogda is extremely risky for vehicles. The PWD says that the turning bend in the original design was curved, but the design had to change due to the railway inserting flat slabs.
90 degree blind turn: The brunt of the bridge, the possibility of accidents increased.
Railway vs. PWD: Conflict over responsibility in departments.
Expert warning: Wrong twist is a serious threat to road safety.
Argument to increase width: PWD gave 11 meters width instead of 8, but the danger continues.
