The state’s Public Health and Family Welfare, Medical and Twenty -point Implementation Department Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal today conducted a surprise inspection of the Charama Health Center during the stay in Kanker district. During this, he directed the gynecologist to provide services three-three days in Charama and Bhanupratappur. Along with this, instructions were also given to deliver sustainable health services to rural areas through MoU. After this, Health Minister Jaiswal inspected the Smt. Indira Gandhi Government Medical College under construction at Telgara. He reviewed the progress of construction works in detail and took stock of various buildings and facilities at the site.
During the inspection, he performed medical college building, administrative building, lecture hall, library, indoor sports facility, boys and girls hostels, mail and female intern housing, central dining and kitchen, guest house, shopping arcade, director and superintendent race, type DE and FEP DE and FAP DE and FAP Quarter, STP and STP. During this, he instructed not to take any kind of quality in the construction agencies on the quality of construction works.
Jaiswal also listened to the workers working in the campus and heard their problems. Underlining the importance of water conservation, he directed to ensure the arrangement of well -planned water harvesting in the premises. Along with this, necessary instructions were given to Collector Nileshkumar Mahadev Kshirsagar for the shady plantation in the campus.
The Health Minister gave clear instructions to the officials that by 31 December 2026, all construction works should be completed with complete quality. During this, the construction agency gave information that the medical college is spread over 35 acres and a hospital will be constructed in 45 acres in future.
On this occasion, Chhattisgarh Government Medical Education Department Secretary Amit Kumar Kataria, Commissioner Medical Education Mrs. Shikha Rajput Tiwari, MP Bhojraj Nag, Kanker MLA Asharam Netam, Fishermen Welfare Board President Bharat Matiyara, Handicrafts Board President Smt. Shalini Rajput and Principal Dr. Mahesh Sandia, Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Mahesh Sandia, Hospital Superintendent Dr. Vimalchand Bhagat, Deputy Chairman Dr. SDM Charama and other public representatives and officials were present.
