Good news for railway passengers! A new Intercity Express train will be operated daily between Madan Mahal station in Jabalpur to Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. Railways have issued official notifications in this regard, which will provide great relief to passengers traveling between the two cities.
Please tell that this new intercity train will leave Madan Mahal at 6:10 am and reach Raipur station at 1:50 pm via Balaghat and Gondia. In return, this train will run from Raipur at 2:45 pm and reach Madan Mahal at 10:30 pm. The journey between this Intercity Express to Madan Mahal and Raipur will be completed in just 6 hours 40 minutes.
Currently, only Amarkantak Express is operated between Raipur to Jabalpur, which takes about 9 hours to cover the distance. Due to having a single train, Amarkantak Express often has a long waiting list, causing trouble in getting a confirmed seat. With the introduction of the new intercity, passengers will have the facility to get confirmed berths and will save 2 hours 20 minutes in their travel time.

Currently, the Amarkantak Express is seeing a huge fierce fighting of tickets. Nearly 50 waiting is going on in sleeper class till 16 June and AC three tires till 14 June. The sleeper coach of Amarkantak Express coming from Jabalpur to Raipur is waiting till June 16 and AC Three Tire till 15 June. Due to the running of the new intercity train, this pressure is expected to be reduced and passengers are easily getting tickets.
