Energy Minister expressed displeasure over the delay in settlement of electricity related complaints

Energy Minister Shri Pradyuman Singh Tomar expressed displeasure over the delay on settlement of electricity related complaints. He said that all the officials from the management operator to the executive level should visit the areas during the night and assess the actual status of electricity. Also submit the inspection report to my office. On Wednesday, Mr. Tomar gave this instruction during the review of the blockage of power supply and the disposal of complaints received through call center.

Minister Shri Tomar said that the number of teams should be increased for timely and quality resolve of complaints. He said that information related to electrical blockage and its resolve should be publicized through public representatives, local media and social media. Consumers’ phones should be attended by plains level officials. The power connection should be made aware about the increase in load.

Call-center made in Energy Minister’s office
Energy Minister Shri Tomar informed that in view of electricity complaints during the rainy season, a temporary call-center has been installed in my office for the next 3 months. The number of calls is 0755-4344299. He has urged consumers to file a complaint on the main call-center 1912 of the power company before contacting this number and share its number.

Managing Director MP Power Management Company Mr. Avnish Lavania, MD, Regional Chief Engineer and Chief General Manager attended the meeting through video conferencing.
