An important workshop Amrit Green Abhiyan is being organized by the Urban Development and Housing Department on Friday 13 June at 8:30 am at Ravindra Bhavan in the capital Bhopal. The purpose of this workshop is to spread the activities and initiatives related to the expansion of the green region and environmental protection in the urban areas. The workshop will include ministers, MPs, MLAs, mayors, presidents of bodies, vice-presidents and public representatives.
Representatives of all the urban bodies of the state will participate in the workshop. The presence of 6 participants from each Municipal Corporation, 4 from Municipal Council and 2 from Municipal Council have been ensured. Nursery exhibition will also be organized during the workshop along with exhibition of agricultural and horticulture products and instruments. The workshop will discuss various institutions like IFFCO and the subject experts of the Indian Institute of Management. The workshop will discuss the characteristics and conservation of local tree species, biodiversity and climate change, technology and equipment requirements for gardens, analysis of acts related to plantation and plantation and proper management after plantation.
Green region enhancement strategies
Stories of success of Divyang Park, Hoshangabad and Ujjain will also be shared in the workshop. A special presentation of the film based on these stories will be done. The program will be broadcast live in all urban bodies through LED screens, so that all the bodies of the state can join this campaign. Additional Commissioner Shri Kailash Wankhede has issued necessary instructions to all urban bodies in this regard under the direction of Mr. Sanket Bhondway, Commissioner of Urban Development and Housing Department. Along with this, representatives of government and non-government organizations engaged in plantation work will also participate in the workshop.
