Mehbooba Mufti made a big statement about Amarnath Yatra – security of Amarnath Yatra is responsible for the people of Kashmir

Srinagar
Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti has given a big statement regarding the Amarnath Yatra. He said that the security of Amarnath Yatra is the responsibility of the people of Kashmir. Mehbooba Mufti held a meeting with various stakeholders and PDP workers at Pahalgam tourist destination in Anantnag district of South Kashmir before the journey starting next month. Addressing the meeting, Mufti said, “The safety of passengers is your responsibility. Every citizen is responsible for traveling and safety of passengers. You have to protect them more than police and security forces.”

‘People of Pahalgam will have to secure the journey’
The PDP president said that he has called the workers of his party who live on the path of the journey and have asked them to protect the pilgrimage.
Mehbooba Mufti said, “I told him that the people of Pahalgam will have to secure the journey so that it is well done and confidence in tourists will be restored, which will resume tourism.”

This appeal to passengers coming to Amarnath
Mehbooba said that the people of Kashmir and especially Pahalgam have been welcoming the Amarnath pilgrims for centuries and this tradition will continue with the same feeling and honesty. He said that we want Amarnath travelers to come. The way the people of Kashmir have been welcoming him for centuries, they will be welcomed this year with the will of God. They will be well served and they will return to their homes safe and healthy.

Tourism stalled in the valley- Mehbooba Mufti
Mufti said that the situation changed after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April and tourism came to a standstill in the valley. Thousands of pony, hoteliers, shopkeepers and taxis and auto drivers are upset. He said that he has taken loans from banks and they are in crisis. He appealed to the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha and the elected government to reopen parks like Chandanwari, Aru and Bitt Valley in Pahalgam, so that tourists could visit these places and help hoteliers and pony to earn their livelihood.

The PDP chief appealed to the government not to disturb the common people. He said, “I appeal to the government not to stop calling the pony to Srinagar or Pahalgam for hearing. Do not do this with them. If you want to fight terrorists, do the same, but do not disturb the common people. If you will harass the common people or make them your enemy, it will not have good results.”
