Mrs. Phoolobai, a woman of the special backward tribe hill Korwa community residing in the remote and inaccessible area of Jashpur district, has received a pucca house under the Pradhan Mantri Janman Awas Yojana. This house is a pleasant end of their years old struggles and a new beginning of self -reliant life.
Phulobai is a resident of Gram Panchayat Pandrapath under Garden Development Block of Jashpur district. For a long time, he spent a life full of difficulties in the raw house – the roof dripping in the rain, the fear of poisonous creatures and the unsafe atmosphere was his everyday part. But now, when her pucca house is ready, she is emotional and says that “When the roof was dripping in the rain, she used to be awake all night. Now I could sleep peacefully for the first time. It is not just the house, not just the house, the palace of my dreams.
Special backward tribes like Pahari Korwa are being respected and safe through the Pradhan Mantri Janman Housing Scheme. Phoolobai expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai on this achievement, saying, “This house is not just a roof, but a symbol of security, respect and self -reliance.
