On Monday, the journalists who came here to coverage illegal mine, were attacked by the operators of the mine operator. The operatives not only snatched the cameras and identity cards of journalists, but also beat them up. To save lives, journalists had to hide in the fields and barns.

Vehicles were found illegally transporting sand on the spot, which reporters immediately informed the District Mineral Officer.

The team of the mineral department did not reach, but after some time 7–8 henchmen of the mine operator came there. He first argued with reporters, then snatched the camera and ID and started fighting. When journalists escaped and saved their lives, the henchmen continued to follow them with bikes and scooty.

Soon after the incident, journalist Imran Memon sent a video message to the group of media and administrative officials. On receiving the information of this incident, Collector Bhagwan Singh sent the SDM for the spot and Additional SP Jitendra Chandrakar directed to send the Rajim police immediately. At present, the police and administration teams are present on the spot and have started investigating the case.
