New and renewable Energy Minister Rakesh Shukla has said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the state unprecedented work is being done to promote solar energy production. He has said that in this direction, “Surya Mitra Agricultural Feeder Scheme Summit” will be held on June 10 at Kushabhau Thackeray International Convention Center to add more and more to Kusum “C” scheme and benefit them. He has informed that the main objective of “Surya-Mitra Krishi Feeder Scheme” is to provide electricity to MP Power Management Company Limited at a low rate. To meet the energy requirements of farmers, mainly irrigation requirements, providing solar energy, producing solar energy, providing income opportunities, the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India, has been implemented by the Government

The main attraction of the summit

In the summit, information will be given about the tender to be released for the installation of solar plants under the scheme. Information about the standard operating procedure adopted by government institutions will be given by experts at the summit. In this, financial and technical arrangements of projects will also be discussed with banks and inverters manufacturers.

The main features of Surya Mitra Agricultural Feeder Scheme

Under Surya Mitra Agricultural Feeder Plan, Kusum “C” is also being given the option to take advantage of central grant in the establishment of projects up to 100 percent capacity of sub-station. In the scheme, more than 1900 power sub-stations and 14500 MW capacity, solar projects have been provided for selection. The scheme will have additional income from reactive power management. It will provide appropriate opportunities for investment and employment for local entrepreneurs. The scheme will be coordinated with banks for ease of funding. Also, there will be a rebate in 3 percent interest for 7 years under AIF in Pariyajanas.
