In Chhattisgarh, a phased recruitment will be done on vacant posts of teachers. Five thousand teachers will be recruited in the first phase. Preparations have been started at the departmental level for recruitment to the vacant posts of teachers. Many important initiatives are being taken by the state government to improve the education system. These initiatives include rationalization of schools and teachers. The process of rationalization has been started in the state. After its completion, the process of new recruitment will be started by assessing the vacant posts of teachers.
As part of the initiative to improve the quality and access of education, the government is rationalized by the Government of Chhattisgarh and teachers in the state. The purpose of this is that teachers should be available in where needed and children can get good education, better educational environment and better facilities. Representation means improving the system of schools and teachers in such a way that the student-teacher ratio in all schools is balanced and no school remains without a teacher.

The state has an average of 21.84 children in 30,700 primary schools and 13,149 pre -secondary schools have 26.2 children per teacher, which is much better than the national average. However, 212 primary schools are still devoid of teachers and only one teacher is employed in 6,872 primary schools. At the pre -secondary level, 48 schools do not have teachers and 255 schools have only one teacher. There are also 362 schools where there are teachers, but not a single student. Similarly, the student-teacher ratio in 527 schools in urban areas is 10 or less. This ratio is between 11 and 20 in 1,106 schools. This ratio in 837 schools is between 21 and 30. But in 245 schools this ratio is 40 or more, that is, teachers are less in proportion to the records of the students.
Under the rationalization, the schools which have more teachers but not students, teachers are being evacuated and sent to those schools where there are no teachers. This will solve the problem of schools with teachers without and single teachers. The cost of school operations will also be low and resources will be better use. Children will not need to get admission repeatedly due to getting more classes and facilities in the same campus. That is, if the primary, secondary, high school and higher secondary schools operated in the same campus will be run, then after passing primary classes, students will get rid of the process of admission in further classes. This will keep children continuing in studies. Children’s leaving rate (dropout rate) will also decrease. Facilities like good building, lab, library will be easy to give the same place.
According to the information received from the Education Department, only 166 schools out of a total of 10,463 schools in the state will be adjusted under the rationalization of schools. Out of these 166 schools, there are 133 schools in rural areas, in which the number of students is less than 10 and another school is operated within one kilometer. Similarly, there are 33 schools in the urban area, in which the records are less than 30 and the second school is operated within a radius of 500 meters. For this reason, 166 schools are being adjusted for better education, this will not affect children’s education in any situation. The remaining 10,297 schools will remain completely operational.
In fact, the Government of Chhattisgarh is making rationalization of schools and teachers i.e. rationalization to improve the quality of education in urban and rural areas of the state. The aim of this is that where the need is more, there is better use of resources and teachers. Those schools which are unable to provide proper education due to less students, should be accommodated with good schools so that children can get better environment, resources and equal opportunities for education.
By rationalization of schools and teachers, children will get more qualified and expert teachers according to the subject. Library, lab, computers etc. facilities will be accessible in schools. Schools with lack of teachers will now get adequate teachers. The schools which used to have students of first count, will now be able to get better education by going to nearby schools. This change in both rural and urban areas will improve the level of education. The intention of the Government of Chhattisgarh is that every child should get good and quality education. This initiative will make the state’s education system more strong and balanced. Representation will not only give proper use of teachers, but children will also get better and quality education.
