Delhi Government’s new EV Policy 2.0

Announcing the new EV Policy 2.0, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that now road tax and registration fees will be completely waived on the purchase of electric vehicles in Delhi. Along with this, attractive subsidies will also be given to those who buy EV.

He said that his government aims to convert every personal and commercial vehicle in Delhi into an electric vehicle in future. He said, “This is not just a policy, but a vision. We want every citizen in Delhi to become a partner towards reducing pollution and adopt electric vehicles. For this, the government will provide all the help.”

Preparation to fight pollution
Rekha Gupta said that air pollution in Delhi has become a year -long problem. Several steps are being taken to control this. The government will work to remove dust on the roads by renting 1000 water sprinkler throughout the year.
