Chhattisgarh has saved beautiful memories related to Buddhism as its invaluable heritage. It is our good fortune that the consciousness of Lord Buddha was widely spread in contemporary Chhattisgarh and evidence of Bastar has been found to be its evidence. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai was addressing the Buddha Mahotsav and inauguration and Bhumi Pujan program organized on the occasion of Lord Buddha’s birth anniversary at Bhongapal in Kondagaon district today. On this occasion, Chief Minister Sai inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of development works costing more than Rs 94 crore 18 lakh in Kondagaon district. The Chief Minister and the guests garlanded the portrait of Lord Buddha and duly launched the program.
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that the religious, cultural and historical significance of Bhongapal is so high that today the public has gathered here. He said that our government is working for peace and development in Bastar. He said that you all know the development we have done in the last one and a half rains and are also benefiting. Our government has done the work of fulfilling all the guarantees of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced to construct a high -level bridge over the Palena and Paroda River, 25 lakh rupees for organizing Bhongpal Buddha Mahotsav, his dress to promote cultural parties, his dress, wealth, Dhol Mandar cultural activities and Bhuongpal to sanction one crore rupees for upgrading the cultural tourism sector.
Chief Minister Sai further said that the process of sanctioning 18 lakh houses to the poor and needy families of the state in the first cabinet meeting is continuing. Sai said that 15,000 houses have been approved for Naxalite victims and surrendered Naxalites and our government is constantly providing housing for special backward tribes. The Chief Minister said that the amount of Mahtari Vandan Yojana is being given regularly to more than 70 lakh mothers and sisters of the state. During the state -wide tour in good governance Tihar, many mothers and sisters have told me about the changes in life from the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. During his stay in Narayanpur, an Abujhmadia sister said that he bought the sewing machine with the amount received from the scheme and now he is earning a good income. Women are getting economic support in the entire state, which is proof that we are succeeding in our objective. The Chief Minister gave information about the banking facilities being provided to the villagers through the Atal Digital Facilitation Center, which started in the recent Gram Panchayat buildings and said that this facility will start in all the panchayats in the coming year.
Chief Minister Sai said that the natural beauty of Bastar is famous abroad and tourism is increasing in this region. He said that our soldiers are fighting firmly with Naxalites to ensure that peace is established in Bastar. Our double engine government is committed to eradication of Naxalites and we will fulfill our resolve of peace establishment in Bastar. He said that basic facilities are being provided to remote areas through the Nayed Nellanar scheme in Bastar. Sai said that our government is doing the work of promoting from farming to tourism. With this intention, tourism has been given industry status. The state government is also continuously recruiting the interest of the youth and soon approval will be given to recruit 5000 teachers.
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai provided the caste certificate to the people of the surrendered Naxalite and Naxal victims, the beneficiaries of the PM house. Chief Minister Sai visited various departmental stalls and distributed various equipment and materials to the beneficiaries benefited from various schemes under Agriculture Department, Social Welfare Department, Fisheries Department, Labor Department and Women and Child Development Department.
Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh said in his address that Bastar is taking the turn of change, peace is being established in the region. Referring to the sixth century historical Buddha statue and Buddha Vihar located in Bhongapal, he said that Lord Buddha has had a profound influence in Bastar. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, the Chhattisgarh government is dedicated to the overall development of Bastar. He specifically mentioned the positive changes coming in the lives of the people of the people from the public welfare schemes of the state government. Dr. Singh greeted the organizers on the successful organization of the program.
Industries Minister Lakhanlal Dewangan, Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap, MLA Sulakanth Usendi, MLA Neelkanth Tekam, Buddhist religious leader Bhadant Arya Nagarjuna Surai Sasai, Anil Khobragade Convenor Buddha Mahotsav and a large number of Buddhist followers, enlightened, were present on the occasion.
