Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that the past of Chandranu Kurmi Kshatriya society has been glorious. In the society, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj had a proud ruler, while there were great personalities like Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who played an important role in the integration of the princely states. He said that the Chandranu Kurmi Kshatriya society of Chhattisgarh is not only a symbol of hard work and self -respect, but this society is also a pillar of development of Chhattisgarh. This society has an important contribution in making Chhattisgarh a new direction and developed state. Chief Minister Sai was addressing the Chandranu Kurmi Kshatriya Samaj’s central convention program held in village Kolihapuri in Durg district today. Revenue Minister Tankaram Verma and MLAs Ajay Chandrakar, Gajendra Yadav and Lalit Chandrakar attended the program as special guests.
Chief Minister Sai further said that most of the people of Chandranu Kurmi Kshatriya society in Chhattisgarh are originally farmers and are related to agricultural work on a large scale. The state government always wants to see happiness on the faces of farmer brothers. The government is continuously working for the betterment of farmer brothers. At present, the ‘developed Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan’ is going on in the entire country including Chhattisgarh from 29 May to 12 June 2025. The main objective of this campaign is to connect scientists directly to farmers and inform new agricultural techniques, government schemes and successful agricultural models. 100 groups of agricultural scientists are interacting with farmers in different areas of Chhattisgarh. These scientists are making farmers aware of organic farming, fertilizer and correct use of ‘Soil Health Card’. The Chief Minister said that the government aims to be technically capable of every farmer of Chhattisgarh and should increase their income.
Chief Minister Sai said that farming and farming in the state will be strengthened only when the farmer brothers will get the right price for their produce. At the time of assembly elections, the famous Prime Minister of the country, Narendra Modi, had given a guarantee that farmers will be given a two -year outstanding bonus if the government is formed in the state. Completing this, we transferred the amount in the accounts of farmers as soon as the government was formed. According to Modi ji’s guarantee, paddy is being purchased from farmers in Chhattisgarh at the rate of Rs 3,100 per quintal at the value of 21 quintals per acre. In the last kharif season, a new record of purchasing more than 149 lakh metric tonnes has been made in the state. The Chief Minister said that farmers are getting full price for their produce. New records of paddy purchase are being made, due to which the trend of farmers towards farming is increasing in the state. Along with promoting irrigation resources in the state, animal husbandry and fisheries are also being given priority. To increase milk production, poor families will be given two milch animals, whose responsibility for care has been entrusted to the National Dairy Development Board. Arrangements have also been made to collect milk to ensure that farmers do not have any problem in selling milk. The Chief Minister said that a processing plant is being set up in Dantewada district to promote the cultivation of millets (Kodo, Kutki and Ragi). This grain was previously considered to be the food of the poor, but now it is becoming popular even in the upper class due to being nourished.
Chief Minister Sai said that we have made a new industrial policy, in which many provisions have been made for the establishment of the industry according to the need of the state. Our government’s resolve is – everyone’s support, development, everyone’s trust and everyone’s effort. With this spirit, we are making plans for every section of the society and transforming them into action. The Chief Minister informed that many schemes have been implemented in Chhattisgarh for the welfare of farmers, women, elderly and all sections of society. Under the Mahtari Vandana Yojana, more than 70 lakh women are being given financial assistance of Rs 1,000 per month. Due to this, women are becoming self -sufficient and are increasing their income from tasks like sewing, embroidery, vegetable production. The Chief Minister’s pilgrimage scheme has been started once again.
The Chief Minister said that more than 22,000 devotees have been benefited so far under the Ramlala Darshan Yojana. He informed that good governance visited all 33 districts of Chhattisgarh in Tihar. Monitoring the plans at the ground level and took feedback from Janata Janardan. More than 40 lakh applications have been received in the three phases of good governance Tihar, which are being resolved.
Chief Minister Sai said that the government is also moving rapidly towards administrative transparency and digital system. Now the facility of nomination has been provided immediately after the registry of the land, which has brought relief to the general public. Most of the works are being done online to prevent corruption. The government has paid special attention in the field of education. The Chief Minister said that education is not only a means of getting jobs, but a means of improving life and society. Major institutions like IIT, IIT, Law University and Medical College have been established in the state. Under the new education policy, the government is working to provide quality education to children and make them useful citizens for society.
The Chief Minister appreciated the Kurmi Samaj and said that this society is an advanced farmer and business society, which is playing an important role in the development of Chhattisgarh. This society is not only a leader in farming and business, but also educated and organized. He urged that all social institutions should have an important role in realizing the concept of developed Chhattisgarh. He said that when a society is strong, the whole nation is stronger than that. Educational construction of society and nation is possible only with education, service and awareness.
Addressing the program, Revenue Minister Tankaram Verma said that those who show the right path by connecting the society are always respected in the society. Today, there is a need to make the new generation of society sanskarwan.
The program was also addressed by MLA Ajay Chandrakar, Lalit Chandrakar and Chairman of Seed Development Corporation Chandrahas Chandrakar. Vinod Chandrakar, the state president of Chandranu Kshatriya Kurmi Samaj, highlighted the objectives of the Central Convention in the welcome address. On this occasion, officials of Chandranu Kshatriya Kurmi Samaj and a large number of dignitaries were present.
