Chetak dominated the market

The market share of Chetak Electric Scooter in Bajaj’s domestic sales has now reached 10.69%. That is, about 11 out of every 100 customers are choosing Chetak. It has also left behind a large brand like Ola Electric in terms of sales. A major reason for Chetak’s popularity is its new and upgraded 35 series variants, which are getting tremendous response from customers.

Chetak 35 Series: A new beginning

Bajaj Chetak’s new 35 series is based on a new platform. It has a 3.5 kwh underfloor battery, which balances the weight of the scooter and gives better handling. Also, this design also empties 35 liters of undersete storage, in which the essential items with helmets can be easily kept.

Strong battery and range

A new battery management system has been added to this series which improves the performance and efficiency of the scooter. The company claims that it gives a 125 km real world range once charged, while its maximum range in testing is stated to be up to 153 km. It has a 950-watt fast charger which can charge the scooter up to 80% in just 3 hours 25 minutes.

Rider comfort and technology

Bajaj Chetak 35 Series has a long seat which is more comfortable for both the rider and those who sit behind. It also has reverse mode facility, which makes it easier to run the scooter at the parking lot. Apart from this, there is also a color TFT display with features such as turn-by-turn navigation, call receive/cut and music control. It is easily connected to the smartphone.

Real-time notification and speed mode

Real-time notifications are available on the display, due to which the user also appears to call, messages and navigation alert scooters. The top speed of the scooter is 73 km per hour and has options like eco and sports mode.

The big reason for leaving Ola behind

There are many reasons behind Bajaj Chetak’s ever -increasing popularity. While complaints about the credibility and service network of brands like Ola come up, Bajaj has consistently focused on its dealer network and product quality. Its effect is clearly seen on sale.

Company focus and future plan

Bajaj Auto aims to make Chetak series available in more cities across the country. Currently, this scooter is being sold through more than 200 dealerships. The company is also planning to launch new variants and more range models in future. Chetak EV was first launched in 2019 and since then the company has been upgrading it continuously.
