Prime Minister Narendra Modi will worship the development works worth Rs 863.69 crore of the Water Resources Department at a program organized on 31 May in Jamburi Maidan Bhopal. These include construction of ghats on Shipra River at a cost of Rs 778.91 crore and barrage, stop dams and vented coseway construction work at a cost of Rs 84.78 crore. Devotees under Simhastha 2028 are being done in Ujjain in terms of bathing and convenience in the serene and uninterrupted water of the Mokshadayani Shipra river.
Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silavat said that for the convenience of devotees on the Shipra river in Ujjain district, about 30 km ghat construction work from Shani Mandir to Nagda bypass will be done on both sides, which will cost Rs 778.91 crore. The work is targeted to be completed by December 2027. Similarly, the construction of 09 barrage (01 in Ujjain district, 01 in Indore district and 07 barrage in Dewas district) and Municipal Corporation Ujjain will get Kaliadeh Stop Dame repaired by the Water Resources Department on Shipra River. There will be construction work of 11 barrages (05 in Ujjain district and 06 in Indore district) on Kanh River. The total cost of these works will be Rs 84.78 crore.

Kanh Diversion Close Dact Project Cost on Kanh River Rs 919.94 crore.
Under the project, the contaminated water of Kanh River is proposed to be carried out in the Shipra River outside the border of Ujjain city by constructing 18.5 km cut/cover and 12 km tunnel.
For the construction of the project, on 15 March 2024, the work is executed and the work is started to be completed by September 2027.
Sevarkhedi – Silarakhedi medium irrigation project cost Rs 614.53 crore.
Under the project, a barrage on the Shipra River in village Sevarkhedi of Ujjain district will be constructed through pumping and collecting water in the proposed Silarakhedi reservoir and flowing into the Kshipra river as per requirement.
Ujjain city will be provided with drinking water to Ujjain city and Nirmal Awiral water according to the sentiments of devotees on various religious festivals. The work is targeted to be completed by the year 2027.
All the works related to Simhastha 2028 (the total amount of Rs 2 thousand 398 crore) is obtained within the time limit, before December 2027, Simhastha is targeted to be completed by December 2027.
