Online data leak is a problem that endangers digital security of people. More than 18.4 crore passwords have been in danger in a new leak. These passwords are said to be related to big companies like Apple, Google, Facebook, Microsoft. Cyber security researcher Jeremia Fauler has claimed to find the leak. According to him, such an unsafe database has been found online which had millions of emails and passwords. That database was in the form of an unnecessary text file, ie it was very easy to open. There was such information in the database through which people could login to bank accounts and financial accounts.
Where did leaked data come from
According to the report, this data would have been captured by Infoseling Malware. Cyber criminals often use this malware and people are stolen and sold on the dark web by stolen passwords and other information. Researchers also contacted the host provider who was storing millions of passwords in the text file. When the researcher asked about the owner of the file, Host service did not give details. That is, it is not known who has stolen the data of crores of people.
Data correct or wrong, such detection
Cyber security researcher Jeremia Fauler reconciled many people whose passwords and other information were leaked. People admitted that their data was real. Researcher says that people who use the same password in many accounts are the highest risk of leaking of their data. If the password of a single account is revealed, then the passwords of the rest of the accounts are revealed on their own.

Experts say that people should use a strong password for any account. It should be of at least eight letters. Capital letter, small letter, number, special characters should be used in it. Never include name, email or mobile number in your password. Two-factor should be used. This gives your password an extra layer of security. In addition, your password should be replaced every month. Even if it is leaked somewhere, then it will not be of any use to the hacker. The most important thing is that never share any of your passwords with anyone.
