Tata Motors is planning to launch 5 new SUVs in the Indian automobile market in the coming months. These include Harrier EV, Harrier Petrol, Safari Petrol, Sierra Ice and Sierra EV. EV models will come with a long range while petrol versions will be equipped with powerful engines.
Tata Motors’s new strategy
The SUV segment is becoming increasingly popular in the Indian auto market. Keeping this in mind, Tata Motors is going to further strengthen its portfolio. The company is preparing to launch five new SUVs by the end of 2025, which will include both electric and petrol variants.
1. Tata Harrier Ev
The Tata Harrier EV will be a major electric SUV of the company, which will be launched on 3 June 2025. This car has previously been showcased at India Mobility Global Expo 2025.

2. Tata Harrier Petrol
Tata Motors is now going to introduce Harrier with petrol engine as well. It has been seen several times during testing.

Harrier Petrol will be a better option for customers who prefer petrol compared to diesel.
3. Tata Safari Petrol
The petrol version of Tata Safari is also coming to the market soon. This model has also appeared several times during testing.

This will target customers who are looking for petrol options in large SUVs.
4. Tata Sierra Ice
Tata Sierra has been an iconic SUV, which is now being brought back in a modern avatar. Ice i.e. internal combination engine version will also be launched soon.

5. Tata Sierra Ev
Sierra EV, one of Tata’s most awaited SUV, is also expected to be launched by the end of 2025.

Tata’s EV Strategy
Tata Motors has already strong hold in the EV segment. Trains like Tiago EV, Nexon EV and Panch EV are already doing well. Tata will further strengthen its EV range with the new SUV entry.
