Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav reached Bagia of Sheetal Das in Bhopal city on Tuesday morning. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav performed service work (shramdaan) in cleaning the ghats of the big pond under the Jal Ganga Promotion Abhiyan here and honored the cleaning friends.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav cleaned the ghats here. The Chief Minister sat in the cleaning boat and discussed with the cleaning workers and encouraged them. He also made an intimate appeal to the citizens to fulfill active participation in the direction of water conservation.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav called upon all citizens to save water in every possible way, because every drop of water has life, nectar. Every drop of it contains our golden future. We need to save water today and responsibility for better tomorrow. Today, water will be saved, only then will our tomorrow be safe.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that all possible measures should be taken for water conservation. Why saving water is only the responsibility of the government, the whole society, every class, every person. Today, water will be comfortable, only then our coming tomorrow will be adorned.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government is constantly working in a planned manner for conservation, revival and sustainable use of all the water sources of the state. The water Ganga enrichment campaign is a solid step in this direction, under which old stepwells, wells, ponds, ponds and other traditional water sources are being renovated and redeveloped.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that all should cooperate in saving water at their respective levels. He said that if there is water, it is tomorrow, this virtuous spirit should be in the mind of every citizen of the state. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav represented the “cleaning messenger” to the cleaning friends and said that cleanliness should not only be a formal campaign, but an integral part of the style of our life. He asked the citizens to make the cleanliness of their home, neighborhood and public places a part of their routine. The Chief Minister called upon all the citizens to give active participation in the water Ganga Promotion Campaign and give priority to the cleanliness and conservation of water sources.
Also visited the renovation work of the old Bawdi of Bada Bagh
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav should reach the historic Old Bawdi at Bada Bagh from Bagia of Sheetal Das and visited the ongoing renovation works being carried out by the Municipal Corporation Bhopal under the water Ganga enhancement campaign there. On this occasion, he said that the state government is moving forward with the thinking of “Heritage from Development” and is giving priority to the conservation of old heritage.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that our ancestors had made amazing arrangements for water conservation. Today it is necessary that we revive those historical water sources and keep them for our future generations. He called upon all citizens to fulfill active participation in water conservation.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that everyone should have active participation in ‘Jal Ganga Promotion Campaign’. He instructed the officials concerned that the renovation work of Bawdi should be completed with full quality and time limit.
During this, Lok Sabha MP Alok Sharma, MLA Rameshwar Sharma, MLA Bhagwan Das Sabnani, Mayor Mrs. Malti Rai, Municipal Corporation Chairman Kishan Suryavanshi, Collector Kaushalendra Vikram Singh, Municipal Corporation Commissioner, other officers, local public representatives, social workers and a large number of citizens were present.
Old Bawdi of Big Bagh
The big garden stepwell has an important place in the water structures located in Zone No. 05 ward number 09 of Municipal Corporation Bhopal. Bawdi was constructed about 200 years ago. The stepwell is three storey, its wall is made from stairs and bail leaves from Munder to arches. The Municipal Corporation Commissioner informed that under the water Ganga enhancement campaign, plastic waste, floating material and about 40 cubic meters silt were extracted from this stepwell by Municipal Corporation Bhopal. The harmful weeds were separated from the walls of the stepwell, causing the inward capacity of the stepwell to 2000 liters per hour. Currently its water is being used in disposal works. In the stepwell, the work of repairing walls and stairs has also been done to dye-painting, laying of stones and iron lattice.
