Social Welfare Minister Smt. Lakshmi Rajwade today conducted a surprise inspection of the Government New Senior Senior Ashram located at Mana Camp in the capital Raipur. He met senior citizens residing in the ashram premises and heard their problems and inquired about the needs.
Minister Smt. Rajwade said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, the Government of Chhattisgarh is working with full commitment to respect and welfare of the elders. Our government is ready to provide more facilities for senior citizens.
Minister Smt. Rajwade expressed satisfaction over the arrangements of the ashram and emphasized on making the situation of cleanliness further. He instructed the officers to strictly follow the cleanliness standards in the ashram and ensure regular cleanliness.
Minister Smt. Rajwade discussed with the elderly in the ashram with affinity and inquired about their health, catering, entertainment and daily requirements. On this occasion, many elders residing in the ashram shared their experiences and suggestions before them. Minister Smt. Rajwade, taking the suggestion of the elderly seriously, assured to consider sympathetically. He instructed the officials to make every effort to ensure that the elderly residing in the ashram should be respected and safe environment. Senior officers of Social Welfare Department, members of Ashram Management Committee and employees were present on the occasion.
