Indore, the cleanest city in India, is going to enter a new era. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch passenger service on Saturday 31 May 2025 from Bhopal to the super priority corridor of Indore Metro. It is about 6 km of the super priority corridor of the Yellow line. This includes five stations Gandhinagar station, super corridor 6 stations, super corridors 5 stations, super corridors 4 stations and super corridor 3 stations. This corridor will reduce traffic and pollution, as well as providing comfortable travel to passengers. The super priority corridor is not only technically important, but is also a symbol of the growing direction towards the modernity of Indore.
31.32 km metro project in Indore
Indore has a total metro project of 31.32 km length. The project has 22.62 km elevated and 8.7 km underground metro. There will be 28 stations on the metro’s Yellow line, making urban travel easy, fast and environmentally friendly. The cost of the entire project of 31.32 km of the metro is about 7 thousand 500 crores. Initially, the 6 -km corridor is being inaugurated, its cost is around Rs 1520 crore. The project is an important step towards making Indore a modern, environment-friendly city.
