The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to name Closing Serimani of IPL 2025 to the Indian Armed Forces. The IPL will conclude at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on 3 June. The program will run for about 45 minutes and during that time the valor shown by the armed forces under Operation Sindoor will be honored. According to the media, the BCCI has invited the presidents of the three armies and other top officers and soldiers for the closing ceremony of the IPL. The IPL final will be played on 3 June in Ahmedabad. The tension had increased significantly after India’s failure attempt to target Operation Sindoor run in India and then Pakistan’s military bases in response to the Pahalgam terror attack. Due to this, IPL had to postpone the IPL on 9 May.
BCCI secretary Devjit Saikia told ANI, ‘We have invited the heads of the three armies (Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, Navy Chief Edmiral Dinesh K, Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh), top officers and soldiers for the IPL final in Ahmedabad. Its purpose is to celebrate the success of Operation Sindoor. The media report quoted Saikia as saying that the BCCI has dedicated the name of the might of the Indian forces to the IPL Closing Serimani.
Saikia told TOI, ‘BCCI salutes the courage, valor and free service of our armed forces. Under Operation Sindoor, he protected and inspired the country from his valor. For his honor, we have decided to dedicate Closing Serimani to the armed forces and respect our heroes. Cricket is a national passion and there is nothing greater than the country and its sovereignty, integrity and security. We are proud of our forces and we are grateful to them for ensuring our safety all the time. ‘
Last month, in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, the Pakistan-rated terrorists had brutally murdered tourists by asking religion. India then destroyed a total of 9 terrorist locations in Pakistan and its illegal occupied Kashmir (POK) with missiles and drone attacks.
In response to Operation Sindoor, Pakistan tried to attack missiles and drone at Indian defense installations and religious places. India’s air defense system turned water to Pakistan’s nefarious plans and destroyed their missiles and drones in the air. Pakistan trembled by India’s retaliation. India made accurate and strong attacks on many of its important airbase. Pakistan then came to the knee and offered a ceasefire in front of the Indian counterpart.
