The Government of India, NITI Aayog New Delhi, under the aspirational district/block program, was organized by the NASSCOM Foundation under the digital literacy program of all gram panchayats under the district panchayat Korba under the digital literacy program and two -day training was organized in the meeting of Janpad Panchayat Korwa to strengthen their daily work and simplify their daily work. This initiative comes under the Prime Minister’s Digital Literacy Campaign. The objective of which is to promote digital literacy in rural and backward areas.
The main objective of this training is to enable the sarpanches of gram panchayats to use digital devices and e-governance services, so that they can do their daily tasks in a more effective and transparent manner. The initiative of the NASSCOM Foundation, “Digi-Lakshya”, is designed to provide digital skills to specifically deprived communities. Under this program, sarpanches were trained on subjects such as computer skills, cyber security and effective use of internet.
The program was inaugurated by Mrs. Kaushambi Gabel, Chief Executive Officer Janpad Panchayat Korwa, and Mrs. Maheshwari Saw, Development Extension Officer Janpad Panchayat Korba. On behalf of the institution, Lokesh Tiwari Project Field Officer and Master Trainer of Program Mrs. Anusuiya trained in digital literacy. Sarpanches of 65 gram panchayats participated in it, which are committed to promoting digital literacy in local governance and administration.
In today’s era, the importance and need of digital literacy was described by Mrs. Gaval. The same Lokesh ji shared many useful tips through training, emphasizing the safe use of digital platforms.
The NASSCOM Foundation launched the “aspirational district program” in the year 2022, which aims to empower more people through digital literacy, e-governance and skill development in 55 aspirational districts. Under this initiative, digital resource centers have been set up, providing access to the essential digital devices and services to the communities.
