A significant hearing was held on the contempt petition filed by a retired lecturer of the School Education Department in Gwalior High Court. The High Court has summoned BEO from 05-05 thousand bailable warrants along with Principal Secretary and District Education Officer of School Education Department. The next hearing of the case will be held on 2 July.
In fact, the retired lecture of the School Education Department, Bharat Singh Sikarwar Advocate RBS Tomar, had filed a contempt petition in the year 2023, in which the court was told that in 2020 the High Court ordered the petitioner’s annual increment, so that his pension could be re -determined. Even after 6 years, the order of the single bench of the High Court was not followed. In such a situation, the High Court said that after hearing the contempt petition, notice was held on 28 November 2023. 3 weeks time was also given for compliance report.
Since then, a twice a reconsideration petition was filed, which was rejected. In such a situation, the court said that even after 6 years, the order has not been followed yet, but has been sought every time. In such a situation, it seems that the officer is not serious in following the order. Therefore, the court has summoned Principal Secretary, School Education Department, District Education Officer Ajay Katiyar and BEO Manju Singh from a bailable warrant of 05-05 thousand.
