Housing mission has been started for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban-2.0 in the state. This mission will be implemented for a period of 5 years by the year 2029. A program has been prepared to construct one crore in the country and 10 lakh new houses in Madhya Pradesh. The objective of the scheme is to provide safe permanent and affordable houses to all eligible urban poor and housingless families. The work of 8 lakh 50 thousand houses has been completed so far in the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban-1.0 (PMAY) in the state. So far an amount of Rs 22 thousand 975 crore has been spent on this. Instructions have been issued to the officials of Urban Development and Housing Department to achieve the target of PMAY-U-2.0 within the time limit.
Housing scheme will be given help in 4 components to the beneficiary
In Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban-2.0, the eligible beneficiaries will be given benefits through 4 major components. The application process under the scheme has been made simple and transparent. Interested beneficiaries can apply online through the Unified Web Portal (https://pmay-earban.gov.in/) developed by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. For more information, beneficiaries can also contact their respective urban body office. The priority of the Central and State Government is to ensure that no eligible families are due to lack of housing.
Special focus group
The PMAY-U-2.0 ensures equality for different classes, which takes into account the housing requirement of Kalyani, alone women, disabled citizens, transgender, scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, minorities and other weaker deprived classes. In this scheme, preference will be given to various artisans, artisans, buildings and other construction workers, slums and residents and other eligible groups under the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana, especially under the PM Swanidhi Yojana.
