Governor Mangubhai Patel has said that the university should be a symbol of Baba Saheb’s legacy of social justice and empowerment. The educational activities of the university should be inspired by Baba Saheb’s thoughts and biography. Present a lively ideal of campus social harmony. Governor Patel at Raj Bhavan, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar was addressing the fifth meeting of the governing body of Social Science University Mhow. In the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary of the Governor K.C. Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary Higher Education Anupam Rajan, Vice -Chancellor of University Dr. Ramdas Gomaji Atram were present.
Governor Mangubhai Patel said that the goal of the university is not to provide only degrees to the students. The aim of the university is to increase the interest of the future generations towards the life values of Bharat Ratna Baba Saheb Ambedkar, their social justice and struggle for equality and the upliftment of the underprivileged. Governor Patel said that the university should not depend on the government for financial resources. Efforts should be made for financial self -reliance. Implement university development schemes by coordinating with the government.
Decision of the work council presented for approval
The University Working Council amended the provision of the member elected by the Working Council in the Vice -Chancellor Selection Committee and approved the decision of the member nominated by the state government unanimously in the meeting of the governing body. Similarly, the decision to make the designation of the Vice Chancellor and Vice Chancellor of the University of Working Council to Kulgru and Kulguru was also approved in the meeting.
Principal Secretary Tribe Work Gulshan Bamra, Principal Secretary Law Legislative Affairs N. P. Singh, Principal Secretary Scheduled Caste Welfare E. Ramesh Kumar, Additional Secretary Raj Bhavan Umashankar Bhargava, Member of Governing Body, Director, Social Science, Research and Training Deepak Kumar Verma, Faculty President Sumanisha Saxena, Governing Body Secretary Kaushalendra Verma and other officials were present.
