The SIT has been formed by the Supreme Court in the case of Madhya Pradesh Minister Vijay Shah, who made objectionable remarks on Colonel Sophia Qureshi. It will include three senior IPS officers including a female officer from outside Madhya Pradesh. During the hearing on Monday, the Supreme Court also reprimanded Vijay Shah and also refused to accept his apology. The Supreme Court said that it is not ready to accept the apology sought by the minister.
The court said, you are a public figure. Is an experienced politician. You should consider your words while speaking. We should show your video here. This is an important issue for armed forces. We need to be very responsible.
During the hearing, Minister Vijay Shah’s lawyer Maninder Singh said that he had apologized for his statement. The court said that apology is not accepted. The conduct of a minister should be ideal.
The court also said that the apology was accepted, so you will go out and say that we apologized at the behest of the court. Your statement is angry in the country. If the emotion was good, he would not have poured agar. The court has formed an SIT of three IPS officers, which will investigate the entire case.
In its order, the court ordered the DGP to form SIT. The SIT will be led by IG rank officials and a woman will also be involved in it. Vijay Shah has been directed to cooperate in the investigation. However, he will not be arrested.
BJP’s eye on Supreme Court’s decision
After the statement made by Vijay Shah, the Congress is constantly pressurizing him to remove him from the post of minister. On the other hand, the BJP’s eye in this case was on the decision of the Supreme Court.
Earlier in the case, the Madhya Pradesh High Court had taken automatic cognizance and ordered an FIR against Minister Vijay Shah. Following the court order, the Manpur police registered a case against the minister. Here Vijay Shah appealed to the Supreme Court to stay the order of the FIR given by the High Court, but he was reprimanded from there too.

The Pakistani media has made a tool of propaganda by Minister Vijay Shah about Colonel Sophia. The media channels there are calling India anti -Muslim through this statement.
