The police have got a big success in the capital Raipur under the special campaign against drug addiction. Police arrested three accused red -handed with banned narcotics cocaine near Ramrama Residency located in Mahavir Nagar in New Rajendra Nagar police station area. About 9 lakh rupees, including 7.48 grams of cocaine, luxury car and mobile phone, have been seized from the accused. This action has been taken by Anti Crime and Cyber Unit and joint team of New Rajendra Nagar Police Station. A crime has been registered against the accused under Section 21, 22 Narcotics Act in New Rajendra Nagar.
According to the information, on May 18, the Anti Crime and Cyber Unit received information from the informer that some suspects were sitting in a car near Ramrama Residency and are looking for the customer in the process of selling the banned drug cocaine with him. As soon as the information was received, the top police officers Additional Superintendent of Police (West) D.R. Porte, Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime) Sandeep Mittal, Municipal Superintendent of Police (Old Basti) Rajesh Dewangan and Deputy Superintendent of Police (Crime) Sanjay Singh immediately directed to take action by forming a joint team.
After which the joint team reached the spot and detained the four -wheelers (Kia Seltos – CG/04/MV/1022) and three persons sitting in it and detained it. During the interrogation, persons told their names to be Shubhank Paul, Sagar Peter and Siddharth Pandey, resident of Raipur. The vehicle was found to have a banned drug cocaine in the vehicle after the team members searched their four -wheelers. On which the team members arrested the three accused and seized 7.48 grams of banned drug cocaine, cash amount and 03 nos iPhone and 01 nos, CG/04/MV/1022, Jumla precious about ₹ 9,00,000 from their possession.
