Urban Development and Housing Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya has said that the museum and educational institutions of a city are like heritage, their prosperity increases the pride of society. He praised the glorious history of Madhavrao Sapre Smriti Newspaper Museum. Minister Shri Vijayvargiya said that in the modern era, the facility of digital library will be very useful for the young generation. Minister Shri Vijayvargiya was addressing the inauguration ceremony of Digital Library on the occasion of International Museum Day in Bhopal on Sunday. In the ceremony, institutions and celebrities who cooperated in the journey from the establishment of the museum were honored.
Minister Shri Vijayvargiya said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has pledged to make India a developed nation till the year 2047. His resolve can be fulfilled by enriching educational institutions. He said that the Sapre Museum started in a small form. In the last 4 decades, this institute has established its identity at the national level. Former Union Minister of State Shri Suresh Pachauri said in his address that Mr. Vijayadatta Sridhar has given an invaluable heritage to Bhopal city with his dedication, which will continue to get the benefit of the fourth pillar of democracy. Former Union Minister Shri Pachauri described the help provided by CSR Fund of State Bank of India as commendable.
The founding member of the institute, Mr. Vijayadatta Sridhar informed that Madhavrao Sapre Smriti Newspaper Museum and Research Institute is working in 3 formats of library service. Journalists and readers have been taking advantage of this since the year 1984. He said that under the Social Services Banking of India, the amount available from CSR item has been digitized by 20 lakh rare documents and old shabby pages of Sapre Museum. Taking advantage of the reference material of the museum, 1240 researchers took PhD and D.Lit from various universities. Have earned the titles of Solar power panels of 10 kW capacity have also been installed in the museum to save electricity.
