Indian companies manufacturing in Bangladesh shock, domestic garment manufacturers will benefit

According to the decision of the government, now the garment will not come from Bangladesh by road and its direct benefit is going to be available to domestic garment manufacturers. The inclusion of a very low developed nation (LDC) category does not cost any fee on garments coming from Bangladesh to India. The garments coming from Bangladesh are cheaper than the domestic garment due to the duty free, which affects the business of domestic garment manufacturers. From Garment Entrepreneurs in Tirupur to the cloth Manufacturing Association of India, the government was received several times.

Bangladesh gets exemption
China was also taking advantage of the facility of fee -free exports received by Bangladesh. China was sending its freight -free manner to India via Bangladesh. Whereas a fee of 20 percent is charged for Garment or Fabric from China. Sanjay Kumar Jain, former chairman of the Confederation of Indian Textile Industries (City) and MD of TT Limited, said that Garment of 6000 crores is being imported annually from Bangladesh. The government’s decision to ban import by road will provide opportunities to manufacture domestic garment manufacturers.

Companies constructing in Bangladesh
Now the cost of Bangladeshi garment will increase significantly after permission to import from Nhawa Sheva and Kolkata’s marine port and their sales in India will also be affected. Due to the facility of duty -free import, many Indian companies are constructing in Bangladesh as construction costs are much lower than in India due to the wages of workers in Bangladesh.
Therefore, Indian companies make goods in Bangladesh and import India without any duty. Now these companies will see benefits in building in India itself. Bangladesh also gives a tough fight to India in the export market of garment and exports more Bangladesh garments than India in Europe.
