Shadol
Judicial Magistrate First Class Shahdol Sita Sharan Yadav issued a notice against the family filed against a provocative statement of narrator Pandit Dhirendra Shastri asking Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri to appear in the court on May 20 at 11 am and appear on the complaint.
According to the notice issued, Pandit Dhirendra Shastri had publicly said in Prayagraj in the context of Mahakumbh 2025 that every person should come in Mahakumbh, who does not come, he will regret it and will be called traitors. Advocate and former government advocate Sandeep Tiwari of Shahdol District Court raised a deep objection to this statement.
The statement stated against the basic spirit of the constitution
He says that this statement is not only against the basic spirit of the Indian Constitution, especially secularism and personal freedom, but it is also a crime punished under various sections of the Indian Code.
He said in his complaint that army soldiers, doctors serving in hospitals, policemen engaged in law and order, members of the judiciary, journalist or any citizen who cannot be present in Mahakumbh due to their duties, can he be called a traitor? This statement is not only insensitive but also a social disharmony.
The court took shelter for no action
A complaint was lodged in the police station Sohagpur, Shahdol on 4 February 2025 regarding the matter. In the absence of action by the police, the complaint was sent to the Superintendent of Police. On 3 March 2025, a complaint was presented to the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Shahdol, if no action was taken. Now the court duly issued a notice to Dhirendra Shastri on May 11 and summoned for hearing in the case on 20 May 2025.
