Under the Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Yojana run by the Women and Child Development Department of the state government, a mass marriage program was organized in the Mudi yard of Makri in Kondagaon district yesterday. In this program, 48 couples started a married life by tied to the knot.

In the program, the State Commerce, Industry and Labor Minister and District In -charge Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Dewangan and Vice President of Bastar Development Authority and Kondagaon MLA Ms. Lata Usendi and other public representatives blessed the newly married couples.

Addressing the program, Minister in -charge Shri Dewangan said that former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh made it available for poor families in one rupee for poor families in the state for free. Interest free loans were given to farmers, thus many public welfare schemes were started. Which strengthened the economic condition of the people. Referring to good governance Tihar, the son of the tribal farmer has started good governance in the interest of all to bring the public welfare schemes of the Center and the state to the last person. Referring to the visionary vision of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, the minister in -charge, while where our Chief Minister’s rule, daughters of poor families are constantly being registered and given financial assistance by marrying them and getting financial assistance.

Bastar Development Authority Vice President and Kondagaon MLA Ms. Lata Usendi, while wishing the newcomers, said that earlier poor families were worried about the marriage of daughters, but now the family is getting a lot of relief from the Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Yojana without any debt. Former MLA Mr. Sevakaram Netam also addressed the program and congratulated all the newlyweds and wished them a bright future.

After marriage, all the couples were awarded marriage certificate and all the couples were given a check of Rs 35 thousand in the name of girl under the Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Yojana. The program was performed by representatives of Gayatri Samaj with Vedic customs and rituals. The families of the newcomers also enthusiastically participated in the event.
