Vijay Raj acquitted by sexual harassment case
In the year 2020, actor Vijay Raj was part of Vidya Balan starrer film ‘Sherni’. During this time, he was accused of sexual harassment and chase by a female crew member of the set. However, now after about 4 years, the Gondia Magistrate Court of Mumbai has acquitted him after the trial and has rejected all the charges on him.
Popular celebrity lawyer Savina Bedi Sachar, who was fighting her case, said that actor Vijay was shooting for his film ‘Sheri’ close to Nagpur city. During this time, when a case was registered against him, not only did he have to leave the shooting in the middle, but many films and projects were also taken away from his hand. But now he has been proved innocent and he hopes that this case will be an example for those who declare someone guilty as soon as the allegations are made.
What was the whole matter?
Actor Vijay Raj was arrested from Balaghat in Madhya Pradesh on 4 November 2020. He was accused of molesting the hotel by a female crew member of the film ‘Sheri’. But the actor was released from jail on the same day. The FIR lodged by the police mentions that Vijay Raj commented on color as a female crew member on the film set and tried to fix the mask on his face without his permission. After which the female crew member also came to her senior officials to complain about the actor. However, the woman who had filed a case of sexual harassment on Vijay Raj, has died before the case was over.
