Protests have started in the district regarding the Bharatmala project. Today, more than 200 farmers from 5 villages, including Hanoda, demonstrated by stopping the construction work of the Bharatmala project and demanded the highest compensation of the land. Along with this, the officers were also accused of corruption in the distribution of compensation. The police arrested 17 farmers protesting after about 3 hours of demonstrations.

In fact, the farmers of the land authorized under the Bharatmala project demand that proper compensation of their land be given to them. He says that big lands have been compensated by hectares and small lands according to acres. Small land has been compensated as per class feet, which is causing them many times.

Farmers say that when they bought the land, their market value was different, but today they are getting 10 percent compensation of their land. A landlord told that he is not getting even half the money of the land he bought 15 years ago. Many farmers have filed a petition in the court regarding the compensation being given to the farmers in the Bharatmala project. The farmers have demanded that they be given their appropriate compensation. Farmers have also made allegations of corruption on officials regarding compensation distribution.

Explain that the land of farmers of Durg and Patan blocks of Durg district has been acquired in the Bharatmala project. The SDM had the right to determine compensation distribution in the Bharatmala project. During that time, Mukesh Rawate Durg was SDM, who also raided the ACB team and investigated.
