A major accident occurred during a mock drill on Thursday in the 25th Battalion of the capital Bhopal. A hand grenade suddenly burst during security exercise, seriously injured by two policemen. The injured include Principal constable Vishal Singh and constable Santosh Kumar. According to doctors, Vishal Singh’s condition remains extremely critical. Both the injured soldiers are undergoing treatment at Bansal Hospital in Chunabhatti.
How did the accident happen during the mock drill?
After the recent cross -border attacks by Pakistan, the Madhya Pradesh Police is continuously organizing mock drills in the state to tighten the security system. In this series, security exercise was held in the 25th Battalion of Bhopal. During the practice, a hand grenade suddenly burst, causing serious injuries to Principal constable Vishal Singh and constable Santosh Kumar. The loud voice of the explosion caused chaos in the surrounding area.
Status of injured soldiers
The injured were immediately rushed to Bansal Hospital where they were admitted to the Emergency Ward. Doctors said that Vishal Singh’s condition is critical and he is under the supervision of specialist doctors. Santosh Kumar’s situation is said to be stable. Treatment of both the injured soldiers is going on and the hospital administration is providing all possible medical facilities to them.
Investigation order issued
After this serious incident, the police headquarters has issued orders for a thorough investigation into the case. A high -level Inquiry Committee can be constituted to investigate the incident, which will fully discuss the lapse in the security protocol during the mock drill. Based on the investigation report, strict action will be taken against the culprits and strict security rules will be made to prevent such accidents in future.
